Letter from our President

Welcome to the website of the Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Southern Mississippi! I thank you for taking interest in not only this wonderful University, but also in the amazing Greek Life system that we have on campus! I would like to encourage you to take a moment to look around our website to see what Greek life and Chi Omega has to offer. Chi Omega is one of the oldest sororities on Southern Miss’s campus, chartered in 1949. Since its founding, Chi Omega has been known as one of the most respected organizations on campus. It has earned its respect from each member’s passion for sisterhood, community service, career and personal development, and most importantly for scholarship. Being named first in grades out of all seven CPC Greek Organizations for three consecutive semesters is something we as a chapter take pride in. I am beyond proud of each member and each unique quality they bring to Epsilon Delta. Our chapter has been recognized on campus, in the Hattiesburg community, and nationally for its excellence and high standards of personnel.  It continues, to this day, through the unwavering support of alumni and active members. Epsilon Delta received the Award of Excellence at Chi Omega National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona last summer. This award was only given to 16 Chi Omega chapters in the entire nation. We are truly proud of this award!

College is a time of growth and individual development, and joining a Greek Organization can only enhance the entire experience. I can honestly say that choosing to join Chi Omega has been one of the best decisions of my life thus far, and it has shaped me in ways that words cannot even begin to describe. Chi Omega offers to its members the opportunity to shape themselves into valued women while gaining friends and memories that will last a lifetime. The backbone of Chi Omega is the purposes that it was founded upon, and by striving to uphold these purposes, the Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega has continued into the future with integrity and accomplishment.
