Chi Omega Update!
We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break! We are aware that you guys want to know what has been going on in the lives of the Epsilon Delta Chi Omegas, so here it is!
The first week back to school was an exciting one for our new members as they transitioned into new initiates! Our new sisters were able to catch a glimpse of what our sisterhood is about. New initiate, Mackenzie Carmody, says,
“Initiation weekend was more than being able to call myself an official member of the Chi Omega Fraternity, it was knowing I found people that share the same morals and values as me. When I was going through recruitment, I was looking for a chapter that not only had the same values as me, but also a chapter that could provide me with opportunities and a chapter that I could contribute to. I truly believe that here in Chi Omega, I have found that. I love knowing I have sisters that will always be there to encourage me or to walk to class with me. Our sisterhood is genuine and I have come to love Chi Omega more than I ever expected to. Hip Hip Chi O! “
We celebrated our new initiates at our Eleusinian Ball last Saturday evening. The theme was Belles and Beaus, and a huge shout out Sisters Lauren Royerre and Laney Simmons for planning such a wonderful event! Your efforts are truly appreciated ladies! Another shout out to Sister Lauren Rabalais for painting such an awesome door decoration! You go girl! Our new initiates were presented by their handsome dates for all of the chapter to ooh and awe at. Yes, they are definitely a beautiful pledge class, as seen here!
In other news, this weekend the ladies of Kappa Delta are hosting their 1st annual Shamrock Superbowl. You know what that means, right? Well if you couldn’t guess, our very athletic intramural Chi O’s have been practicing their mad football skills, I mean, we did win 1st place in intramural flag football season! Even though we are competitive, but always classy, ladies, we are more excited about participating in Kappa Delta’s philanthropy event because it supports Prevent Child Abuse America and the Mississippi Children’s Justice Center. We wish our KD friends the best of luck this weekend.
We hope you guys have a great week! Check back for more updates!
